Ja Morant has been the talk of the NBA world and unfortunately, it has nothing to do with his high level of play or his jaw-dropping forays to the basket but rather his questionable and concerning activities off the hardwood.
Amidst reports surfacing of him laying the smackdown on a high school basketballer and a scuffle with security personnel at a shopping mall, in a move that can only be described as daft, the Grizzlies star guard brandished a pistol on a recent Instagram live.
Saturday the Memphis Grzzlies announced that Morant would be away from the team for the next two games. In a recent news conference, head coach Taylor Jenkins said that “ there was no definitive timetline” for the All-Star’s return.
Jenkins also said while the team “would support him through this process” they would also “hold him accountable.”
Additionally there seems to be some set of criteria that would to be fulfilled to pave the way for Morant’s return but did not outline what they were.
